Process

My interest in process spans different, interconnected spheres and is about cycles of nurturing, gestation, fruition, collapse, destruction. In this exhibition, I explore the idea of process through different materials and subjects—my own body, my workspace, my home, my son, the environment.

Inherent in all of this is the idea of time and cyclical continuity—the circle arises again and again.  Process embraces the idea that there can be multiple outcomes—layers upon layers—and an open-endedness. Is the work ever finished? By showing these images unframed, in a raw state, I foreground the idea that they are part of an ongoing creative process.
